Sarah's story...

“I decided to become a live-in carer after my step-mum developed dementia and I soon realised what a huge difference the right carer made to her life. I feel privileged to be able to help provide support to my client helping her maintain her independence and continue living in her own home surrounded by possessions that mean so much to her.

When I go to my client’s house, I actually feel like I’m coming home. You are matched closely with your client and that is invaluable. I like knowing my client’s likes and dislikes, they will tell me about their life stories and I get to know their families too”

Marion's story...

“Having worked in a variety of care settings over the years, it’s live-in care that’s by far given me the greatest job satisfaction. “I decided to join the care sector after supporting my mum for 18 months. She suffered from terminal cancer and sadly passed away.
