Within Lloyds Bank Corporate Markets (LBCM), the UK Credit Sales team within Capital Markets are currently looking for a Director to join them. Credit Sales are part of the Lloyds Bank Corporate Markets' (LBCM) Capital Markets business where the team, based in London, Frankfurt and New York distributes bond transactions globally for LBCM's financial and corporate clients.

Working with buy side investors, Credit Sales is the distribution team for publicly issued bonds working closely with Credit Trading, Bond Syndicate and DCM.

You'll be part of a UK Credit Sales team, working on client facing distribution of new bond issuance as well as secondary market trading activity. You will have a strong understanding of the UK investor client base to drive business and revenues through regular interaction to promote Lloyds' credit product offering.

You will establish, develop and maintain relationships with key primary clients/investors to facilitate new, and maintain existing business, working closely with sales colleagues on the desk as well as colleagues in DCM and Bond Syndicate providing market colour and investor feedback. You will work closely with Credit Trading to ensure an appropriate balance of client service ambitions and desk risk management.

It will be important that you have an entrepreneurial and flexible approach, demonstrating passion, enthusiasm and a 'can do' attitude, always being customer and results focused.

Champion a strong control and compliance culture by demonstrating a sound understanding of the role in managing risk effectively for the benefit of clients, colleagues and the Bank.

Possess an understanding of the wider financial services industry, regulatory changes and pertinent economic and political factors which may impact on the Group's business and overall aims.

Have the ability to effectively manage stakeholders, build and maintain networks.

What you'll need

  • Be able to evidence substantial, relevant prior Financial Services experience in a financial markets sales role.
  • Strong relationships with the UK Institutional Client Base.
  • A highly motivated individual with strong analytical skills.
  • Good numeracy and problem solving skills.
  • Ability to work autonomously to a high standard and to tight deadlines.
  • Strong knowledge of statutory, regulatory and compliance requirements.
  • Ability to communicate effectively at all levels and across different audiences.

This role is considered Certified under the Senior Manager and Certification Regime as either requiring mandatory qualifications or being deemed as a role capable of providing 'significant harm' to customers. Due to this, successful candidates will be subject to enhanced levels of vetting, and required to complete a fitness and propriety attestation on commencement in role. Colleagues performing this role will be required to be complete a fitness and propriety attestation on an annual basis and will also be subject to additional routine criminal and credit checks

This role has been identified as a Client-dealing function under SYSC 27.8.18R as defined in the FCA Handbook

The Person("P") performs the client-dealing FCA certification function for a firm if:(1)P is carrying out any of the activities in the table in SYSC 27.8.19R; and(2)those activities will involve P dealing with:(a) a person with or for whom those activities are carried out; or(b) the property of any such person;in a manner substantially connected with the carrying on of regulated activities by the firm.

If you manage certified colleagues this role will be identified as Manager of certification employees under SYSC 27.8.13R as defined in the FCA Handbook(1) The function of managing or supervising a certification employee, directly or indirectly, is an FCA-specified significant-harm function.(2) A function in (1) is not an FCA certification function for that firm if it is performed by an SMF manager of that firm.
