About this opportunity

Portfolio Management exists to build and manage the portfolio of the Corporate Bank ("CB"). Portfolio Management's (PM) responsibility is to support sustainable client relationships and drive efficient use allocation of capital and liquidity.

This is an outstanding opportunity to play a pivotal role as Director in the Structured Distribution team within Portfolio Management. This is a highly desirable area to work within, driving innovative structured transactions on behalf of the bank and driving forward the Originate to Distribute strategy.

The role is focussed on supporting creation and delivery of innovative new structured transactions working with third parties, arranger and co investors to bring new capital to CB. This is either through assets on our balance sheet or working with stakeholders to identify future origination opportunities to include in the structures.

In this role you'll be focussed on working across CB. This will include:

  • Working with CB's Coverage and Product teams to identify areas of future growth and opportunity
  • Analysing data to understand assets available for structures
  • Working with third party investors and internal market syndicate to understand appetite
  • Working through economics and options across synthetic securitisation, cash securitisation, co investment, sub participations
  • Working with arrangers, legal counsel and advisors to structure new transactions with investors

What you'll need

You'll be a motivated and enthusiastic colleague with strong stakeholder management skills and analytical ability. A wide range of backgrounds are welcome.

  • Senior stakeholder management skills
  • Ability to present complex information simply
  • Structuring experience either within securitisation, project finance or other structured finance solutions
  • Strategic approach with the ability to think laterally, be innovative and find creative solutions
  • Financial analysis and cash flow modelling skills
  • Good understanding of Bank's financial metrics and application
  • Understanding of the broader economic trends and changes impacting the Balance Sheet
  • Strong excel skills with a methodical and analytical approach to decision making
  • Able to manage and prioritise multiple deliverables in a timely and effective manner
  • Ability to read and commercially negotiate complex legal documents
