Job Description Summary

Will use their strong knowledge and expertise in a variety of methodologies and toolsets to assist with designing, building and unit testing code to deliver products that are fit for purpose and meet the quality standards that our customers expect. Working in one of our cross-disciplinary teams engineers will have the opportunity to develop their technical knowledge and understanding as well develop, practice and demonstrate the workplace skills and behaviours required for this job role. They will also join and attend Communities of Practice, Engineering Guilds and Working Groups to deliver peer-to-peer mentoring.

SALARY: £59,570 - £72,000

LOCATION(S): London

HOURS: [Full-time]

WORKING PATTERN: Our work style is hybrid, which involves spending at least two days per week currently, or 40% of our time, at our London Office

An excellent and exciting opportunity for a Front Office Software Engineer to join the Sales & Trading lab within the Markets Value Stream. The role will primarily sit within the Enablers team providing support and insights across critical initiatives sought at providing real value to our customers and business partners as well as the day to activities keeping the show on the road and fun doesn't stop there!

S&T Lab is responsible for delivery of change across systems that support our LBCM Flow Sales and Trading Teams, RFB Traded Products Teams and Sales Teams within Global Transaction Banking to increase flow, improve pricing, keeping colleagues and our client's safe through regulatory compliance, always working to stay ahead of the game as well as deepening our relationships with business partners.

What you'll do...

Opportunities will arise to collaborate and assist multiple teams across the Sales & Trading Lab, whether that be using your skills to assist other S&T Lab deliveries or developing and sharing knowledge across the Lab.

  • You'll join the Sales and Trading Enablers team reporting into the Team Engineering Lead responsible for learning the tooling we use with an aim to supporting the teams dependent on their usage.

  • Propose improvement opportunities and develop solutions to ensure that the Group's investments meet the needs of its colleagues, customers and partners.

  • Project manage deliveries for the Lab.
