Job Description

To support with the organisation and delivery of BCHC Charity organised fundraising events To attend BCHC charity fundraising events across the region when appropriate Co-ordinate and support arts activities across the Trust to enhance patient experience and staff wellbeing To respond to all inbound enquiries in a prompt, efficient and helpful manner and within agreed timescales To effectively use Microsoft Office, appropriate databases, the internet and other research sources to a high standard to ensure administrative duties are conducted promptly To respond to all outbound administrative activities in a prompt, efficient and helpful manner and within agreed timescales To collate information and data as required by the Charity Manager and Charitable Funds Committee including but not exclusively gift aid and donor customer relationship management database Collate information required for Trust and Foundation applications and support the application proces Support Charity funded projects and associated senior staff in line with Charity activitie Conduct data input and amendments of donor details quickly and accurately in accordance with Data Management Policy Ensure the safe collection, transportation and depositing of donations made on or off site in accordance with standard procedures Build relationships with stakeholders to support the growth of the Charity including local businesses, schools, universities and community groups Actively engage in NHS Charities Together networking sessions, members area and development opportunities Have regular contact with individuals who have difficult family circumstances and/ or are grieving following a bereavement/ loss of loved ones. They are often feeling emotional and distressed. This includes face to face contact as well as via other communication methods, e.g. telephone, emails and letter Direct contact with patients and carers with a range of disabilities and/ or ill health, supporting individuals to engage in activities and relevant communications within the scope of the Charit Co-ordinate, motivate and support fundraising group Speak to and present to external individuals, local voluntary and community groups to promote the Charity To think creatively and innovatively to support the development of the Charity Undertake general office duties associated with the Charity, including but not restricted to filing, photocopying, collating and distributing information, receipt and distribution of incoming and outgoing mail Prepare suitable materials for a fundraising project and corresponding effectively with stakeholders through a range of communication methods Maintain confidentiality and discretion at all times Attend all statutory and mandatory training required for the role as defined by the Trust and to participate fully in any departmental training as and when required To participate fully in the Trust PDR and other HR processes
