Radis Community Care have an opportunity for a Support Worker to join our Supported Living Team in Reading.

About the role

As a Support Worker you may support individuals with Learning disabilities, Autism, PMLD, and Mental Health issues. The role may include, medication administration, personal care, food preparation, managing weekly finances, attending clinics and therapy sessions, household tasks, supporting individuals to maintain contact with family and friends, accessing the community and attending appointments.

We recognise each person as an individual and provide a unique service which is person centred and tailored to their needs. The role is to promote the individual's independence, choice, dignity, and respect by delivering the best standards of support. We offer people a safe and secure home where people can live independently with the support they need. As a support worker you will be significant in the success of transforming the way the people we support achieve there personal goals and aspirations.

About the skills we are looking for

  • Good time management skills

  • Clear communicator

  • Flexible to meet the service needs and that of the individual

  • Able to complete reports and general day to day admin

  • Some experience in managing finances or personal budget

  • Able to manage to day to day running a home

As a successful candidate you may be qualified in Health and Social care or had experience in supporting people previously. If you have worked in Supported Living previous you will understand the nature of the role, which is beneficial but not essential. Rate of pay

  • £12.00 Monday - Friday
  • £12.30 Weekends
