Retail Volunteer (Gifts in Kind) (Rugby)
Job Description
Our amazing team of vibrant & diverse volunteers helps us run over 600 shops. Our stores sell lots of great donated & new goods to help raise vital funds to make a real difference to disadvantaged children, young people and families across the UK.
One of the ways in which we receive donations is by the support of the Gifts in Kind team. They partner with a number of companies and brands that donate their end of line, out of season, damaged (but usable), returned or sample stock to Barnardo's, which we then sell in our charity stores.
You will be a key part of ensuring that our retail stores are the face of our charity on the high-street and in local communities by sorting and organising Gifts in Kind stock to be delivered throughout the UK.
Our Gifts in Kind team are increasing the amount of gifts being donated to us from other businesses. We are in need of Warehouse volunteers who can help us sort and de-tag new branded goods, ready to be sold in our stores. You will also scan books, CDs and DVDs, which will help us raise money for Barnardo's
It would be great if you could volunteer one shift a week (or even more if you want) but we're always happy to be flexible to work around your availability.
