Sadie Reid, a friend, has a very successful and informative website called, Hip and Healthy. She, with two friends, has set up an initiative called ‘Duty To Care’ which is all about providing our NHS workers with wellbeing support via free online consultations to improve and sustain their mental health and wellbeing.
The idea is doctors, nurses and their NHS colleagues would have access to CBT therapists; Psychotherapists; Mindfulness teachers; Meditation experts; Breath-work experts; Homeopaths; Immunologists; Nutrition coaches; Hypnotherapists; Healers – all at a time when they need it most as we enter this high-pressure period of extreme unknown.
One of the people Sadie has set up the charity with is married to a doctor who sees first hand the pressure that he and his colleagues are under every day year-round. Now more than ever, in light of the current Covid-19 global pandemic, she feels it is our duty to support them, and to ultimately care for the people who we expect to care for us.
Please do view their website holding page to find out more: Click HERE.
A Just Giving page is linked and can also be found HERE.
If you are interested in donating that would, of course, be amazing. In addition if you’re happy to share any info on social media Sadie would be forever grateful!
Any help you can give to shed light on this very worthwhile cause to assist us with our fundraising would be hugely appreciated. Hopefully we can stop people from fighting over loo roll in supermarkets and instead get them to spare a thought for the people who we really need to be focusing on.
