Healthy Dips to keep you away from the biscuit tin!

These two recipes for healthy dips are from The Body Coach 30 day fitness plan and they have helped me keep away from the biscuit tin! Click here for his website.

Salmon Pâté

Ingredients: (serves 1)
55g smoked salmon
lemon juice – to taste
5 ml olive oil
½ garlic clove, grated
20g cottage cheese
small handful of chopped fresh dill (or other herbs that you prefer)
vegetable batons to serve

How to prepare

Whack all the ingredients into a blender apart from the dill. (I used my Nutribullet). Blend until a smooth consistency is formed and then stir through the fresh herbs.

Serve with finger-length pieces of celery, carrot or cucumber.

 

Avocado Ranch Dip

Ingredients: (serves 1)
40g avocado
80g 0% Greek yoghurt
½ lemon, juice and zest
½ garlic clove, grated
small handful fresh cives/dill/parsley (whichever you want)
small chilli, finely chopped
vegetable batons to serve

How to prepare:

Peel, deseed and roughly chop the avocado. Throw the avocado into a blender with all the other ingredients except for the herbs. Blitz everything until you have a nice smooth paste then fold through your chopped herbs.

Serve with vegetable batons.
