Job Description

The Assistant Video Production Manager will work with the team to prepare film ideas, manage projects from brief, through creative development, pre-production, shoot and post-production stages.

What will you be doing?

Main Responsibilities

  • Creation of regular video content
  • Work closely with the Head of Production and wider team to produce the highest quality video and web content.
  • Managing and delegating tasks.
  • Attending meetings and events as required.
  • Tailor creative content ideas to key themes aligned to our organization values and target audiences
  • Ability to create content in a responsive manner with short lead times servicing a number of different brand platforms
  • Use insight and analysis of content to inform planning and production
  • Assist in production related tasks as needed
  • Oversee video collection to ensure all media is archived appropriately and can be readily obtained

Note that this is 16 weeks required volunteering job.

What are we looking for?

Essential

  • Working Knowledge of Video Editing Platforms: Adobe Premiere Pro, Adobe Media Encoder, Photoshop
  • Good interpersonal skills with ability to get on with people at all levels.
  • Understanding of picture and audio finishing including grade + audio mixing
  • Basic IT understanding - Mac OS specific
  • Experience in camera set-ups for live events /ob-doc /scripted content
  • Appropriate DIT practices for media management
  • Working knowledge of audio production and basic audio set-ups for live events and recorded audio.
  • Experience with streaming services for Youtube and FB Live using applications such as Switcher or OBS and online broadcast hardware.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills
  • To show professionalism at all levels and in all environments
  • Strong team player
  • Working knowledge of file codecs and wrappers
  • Digital Asset Management (Utilising enterprise versions of Google Drive etc).

Desirable

  • Committed to working with the community with a passion for helping others less fortunate
  • Working Knowledge of Video Editing Platforms: After Effects, Da Vinci Resolve
  • 5 + years of live production in broadcast and film
  • Understanding of broadcast acquisition standards for file deliveries
