Job Description

A crucial role in supporting the day-to-day operations of NCV.

What will you be doing?

The Operational Manager will work closely with staff, volunteers, and stakeholders to ensure the smooth functioning of our programs and initiatives.

Key Responsibilities:

Volunteer Coordination:

Recruit, train, and supervise volunteers to support various aspects of our charity's work.

Develop and maintain volunteer schedules to ensure adequate coverage for all tasks and activities.

Provide ongoing support, guidance, and recognition to volunteers to foster their engagement and retention.

Project Management:

Collaborate with staff and volunteers to plan and execute fundraising events, awareness campaigns, and other initiatives.

Monitor project timelines, budgets, and resources, ensuring projects are delivered on time and within scope.

Evaluate project outcomes and identify areas for improvement to enhance effectiveness and efficiency.

Operational Support:

Assist in the development and implementation of organisational policies, procedures, and guidelines.

Maintain accurate records of volunteer activities, project expenses, and other relevant data.

Coordinate with other team members to ensure effective communication and collaboration across departments.

Community Engagement:

Represent the charity at community events, networking functions, and meetings with stakeholders.

Cultivate relationships with local businesses, organisations, and individuals to build support for our mission.

Promote volunteer opportunities and raise awareness of our initiatives through various channels.

Qualifications:

Previous experience in volunteer management, project coordination, or a related field preferred.

Strong organisational skills with the ability to manage multiple tasks and priorities effectively.

Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work collaboratively with diverse teams and stakeholders.

Proficiency in Microsoft Office and other relevant software applications.

Passion for the mission of our charity and a commitment to making a difference in the fight against cancer.
